Africology:
What is your skin story?

UI Design

Objectives From The Brief

In support of a promotional initiative, the chosen brand, Africology, is hosting an online competition. Our task is to craft a captivating microsite that not only boosts awareness but also motivates visitors to participate in the competition. The site should feature an intuitive user interface, ensuring a seamless and straightforward entry process for participants.

My Concept

As depicted in the images below, the microsite has been designed with a deliberate focus on simplicity, enhanced by subtle micro-interactions strategically placed to captivate and retain viewer engagement. Adhering to the brief's directive to heighten awareness, I have integrated a compelling incentive for visitors – the opportunity to receive a complimentary gift by subscribing to the weekly newsletter. To avail themselves of this offer, participants are further encouraged to make a purchase. This not only drives engagement but also aligns with the brand's ethos.

The call to action extends beyond mere participation, fostering a sense of community as users are prompted to 'Share their skin story.' This concept is tailored to Africology's commitment to addressing diverse skin types, including those with specific needs such as oils, dryness, normalcy, or conditions like eczema. Through this approach, the microsite authentically encapsulates the brand's essence and encourages a deeper connection with its audience.
